so it is a fiat grande punto , 1.4 8v engine
5 door
2010 year model

petrol

interior components , it has no sun roof , it does have electric windows
aircon that is never being used , and a radio

i dont have equipment for the job , and for that i first need to understand what will be needed to be done to purchase the needed equipment , or to know what how big the job will be im looking at

i will be able to upload more photos of the abs section the day after christmas and if needed the interior to see

but again thanks for reading and responding

The car in the image doesn't have EVO bumpers.. (Earlier GP ones..)

Maybe has the later interior though..? 🤔

i looked on the diagrams of wiring , and couldnt find anything that has focus to the abs wiring

but thank you for the link, could still come in handy

You don't get it. Grande and Evo have different bumpers / front grills.
Transition from Grande to Evo was exactly in the year 2009 (at least in Europe).
So your "2010" must be "Evo" (but you have Grande front = car involved in accident repaired using "Grande" donor?).

i am unsure because the car was purchased second hand , and from the workings on the front bumper paint , i could see it was redone, but the interior is the same as i showed in the picture , just a personal radio was installed

but from the link you gave me , i couldnt see any diagrams of the abs wiring to follow as a guide ,when i get back home in 2 days ill take a picture from the back also , not sure if the car said evo

Ok, that is the Grande dashboard
From 2006 /2009 in Europe

The later dash in Evo and 2012+ punto from 2010/2017

With a Grande dash And bumper, it's almost certainly a late 2009 build car

yea so problem is still im struggling to get information on the wiring of abs on the right side breaks system , i think but ill have to double check , it seems ill need to get another abs sensor on the driver side , because i cant remember seeing the sensor on the wiring anymore , firstly

im assuming some of the wiring was also leading towards the bumper that has a sensor for the the airbags
and then the other wiring thats from the bumper is likely the right indicator and headlights?

Basically, you would need to solder the ruptured wires.

The color of the wires might indicate their function.

Those colors are indicated at the connectors. The abreviations are in italian.

For example, front right ABS connector

The wires from several consumers, sensors and so on are bundled into harnesses.

It’s costly to replace the entire harnesses but if you’re unable to solder and have access to the same model for harvesting items, then replacing the harness would be best.

With soldering, you would have to cut the copper until there is no more sign of oxydation (redish-golden color instead of blackish). Also the result of the joined wires should be water-tight. There exist special soldering tubes which contain solder and which will contract and build a hermetic seal on both sides once heated. You need special equipment like a dedicated small hot air blower for this. Whilst the hot gases of the flame of a lighter might also work, it will create a huge fire hazard so I’d recommend against using that. You might also risk burning the wires you already soldered.

Basically, same color wires will go together but there might be several with the same color, so be carefull.

Disconnect the battery and wait 15 min before working on the electrical system.
