Bravo My White Bravo T-Jet :)

Introduction

Thought I'd share my first car! Saved for 3 years (I'm 19) and bought it a few months ago. Honestly love it more than anything I've ever had and despite some small flaws, it's gives me such happiness when I drive it. Here's some pics of the car in stock form (ignore the small dent from an asshole in a parking lot) ImageUploadedByFIAT Forum1385457917.428865.jpg ImageUploadedByFIAT Forum1385457938.957691.jpgImageUploadedByFIAT Forum1385457954.695211.jpgImageUploadedByFIAT Forum1385457994.000139.jpgImageUploadedByFIAT Forum1385458008.195818.jpgImageUploadedByFIAT Forum1385458021.920675.jpg
Looks really smart.

On an old Astra Van I had - fitting lowering springs made it fade around islands until I fitted uprated shocks.

How are you finding the handling?

Transformed! Was worried that only changing the springs would affect the ride too much but you seriously only feel it over speed humps and really ba expansion joints etc. but it's worth it for the quicker response from the car and the body seems to be more under control. Cannot reccomend these enough to anyone with a bravo! Oh and they made the car look so much better of course hahaha

So basically Bianco-Bravo has been off the road for a bit, no fault of her own (she tempted me into speeding and the license was gone :bang:). Taken the time to give her a nice clean inside and out, and fitted an aux cable. Will take some photos soon (its pissing down with rain). Planing the next round of mods!

How long you been banned?

Just checked your first post. Didn't realise it was your first car. That's quite a good first car to be fair. How long you on P plates? I know in the uk you are on a 2 year probation and can only get 6 points instead of 12. So if caught speeding in the first 2 years you could potentially be banned for a year and forced to take a new extended test to get your licence back. Though you sill theoretically have a full licence so don't technically need to show an actual p plate unless you want to.

Thanks! Worked my ass off through school cause I wanted something a bit different to a golf or honda -.- Aussie laws for p plates are screwed up. First year is on a P1 license, 4 points, but any speeding fine will result in automatic suspension for a minimum of 3 months. After a year on P1 you can get a P2 license, which is 7 points, so a bit more leeway. 2 years on that and then you're done, full license acquired

My neighbour's son passed his driving test in the morning. His dad allowed him to take the family car out on his own that evening, with 3 of his mates. He never came home. He was killed, and two of his mates badly injured and will NEVER be right. Resrtrictions on new/young drivers are a really good idea.

I'm sorry to hear that. Stories like that really put life in to context. I think it's safe to say the road isn't a racetrack

So I finally got around to taking photos of my aux input mod. Bought the cable and trim removal tools off eBay (tools are a must!). Literally took 15 minute. I bought a female to female adapter and found a rubber grommet in my workshop that fit, drilled a hole near the cigarette lighter. Basically created an aux output. It's a bit more convenient to have the output right there so I can still have access to my phone, rather than in the glovebox ImageUploadedByFIAT Forum1396605667.918559.jpgImageUploadedByFIAT Forum1396605697.211254.jpg

More mods to come!

Today I decided to play around with some plastidip and see what the results were. I think it turned out well!

I blacked out the grille:

Then (taking inspiration from the fiat 500s) I plastidipped the mirrors red

Finally I added some Italian flag badges

And the overall finished product!

Yeah I was thinking of doing that later. I was surprised with the finish, I was expecting it to peel straight away but it's perfect at the moment

Hahah. Yea i plasti dipped my alloys to mayye black. Only took 2 days before it started to peel away. I did touchups every few days but then just decided to remove it all. Gonna get them powdercoated along with grille and rear light tints

Yeah it never works on wheels, but the grille is perfect and easy to do, 1 hour job max
