Well for any HID's to be fully road legal then they have to be fitted into projector lenses and be self levelling. The new MOT rules state that if they dont do this then they wont pass
not having a go, just warning you for if you get your mot done by anyone but your dad/you get stopped by the police because of them

yea dad checked it all and mine are fitted are fully 100% road legal, he told me the ones that come in cars that are standard fit have more regulations and also need built on washers and kept the lens clean at all times

Btw they are 6k HID's if u was wondering :)

Oh yeah they need the headlight washers to be legal too. So if you dont have light washers, self levelling lights and projector lenses then they are not road legal. If they were on a new bmw that come standard with HID's or your punto. If they dont have them 3 things (maybe more things needed, cant remember) then they arent road legal im afraid. Plenty of info online to do with MOT and HID's

no ur missing the small print all those regulations are for stock fitted ones, if u didnt have them before and had them fitted they are legal without them as long as the power is converted, i know it sounds silly but most regulations are mixed up

Too right bud, mk2b's just seem to be such a touchy subject with some people? God knows why.

But nice car mate, keep us posted (y)

will do, i now not going to debadge my boot but get the emblem airbrushed to the union jack will upload more pictures when i remeber to take some lol (work/gf take up so much time)

some pics of the back of my car (have removed the punto and the dragon and will be air brushing the fiat to a union jack)

just to add my two zenith worth on the HID MOT debate

Headlight requirements are updated to take account of the particular characteristics of High Intensity Discharge (HID) lamps.

HID headlights can cause dazzle if they are dirty or aimed too high so car manufacturers must fit headlamp cleaning and levelling systems. A car will fail if a mandatory headlamp cleaning or levelling system is missing, doesn't work or is obviously defective.

Vehicles fitted with aftermarket HID systems must also be fitted with properly working washer and levelling systems.

anywhooo, your lights are illegal, your dad needs to polish up on his MOT testing regs and your car looks very cool but need some side skirts (y)

tbh the pic is very dazzeling but that is the pic not the lights, cus even i got a glimmer off my sidelights when i took a pic of those and in real life u can barely see them

Any chance of a close up photo of the painted calipers? I was thinking of maybe doing mine blue if I ever get around to buying some alloys.

nice mods,

i havnt done any major mods on my punto,

i got remote central locking done (after market)

de-locked both sides (dont ask, both doors got broken into)
and fitted an arm rest (which is the best investment i made!)
debadged the boot door

by the way arm rest does not cover the hand brake, i can move it 90 degress up so i get full access to hand break

i was thinking of getting a PUSH START button for engine start, looks cool!

i brought my arm rest from ebay if anyones interested in one (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/160785913...m=R40&_nkw=160785913681&_rdc=1#ht_7289wt_1030)

Car looks good although I also have some issues with legality of your HID's if they are bulbs only they are fine but if its the whole ballast and bulb setup its completely illegal without self levelling and headlight washers, I would take them into a garage and have them take a look
