Personally I wouldnt go for M3 mirrors, would prefer colour coded standard mirrors but thats just my personal taste

Other than that I really like it mate, it looks sporty yet subtle at the same time :slayer:

You know what... I was thinking the exact same thing :slayer:

As for the colour coded mirrors, you have 3 options really:
- Colour Code your mirrors yourself (the casing can be unbolted and removed for paining)
- Find someone selling Black HGT mirrors as these were colour coded as standard.
- Go to a Fiat parts department and ask them for some replacement mirror caps for a black HGT (now Im not actually 100% sure if Fiat suppy them painted or just primed so I would check that out before purchase if I was you)

I'll keep you posted about the mirror scenario! Should be getting the M3 Mirrors w/ base plates on Wednesday.....so we shall see!

As for the darthvader comment....cheers-i think thats a good thing! lol
With my car, I tried to mod it...but "tastefully" (i've seen that phrase used on ebay lol) so...modded in a subtle, but decent way... Any advice on further modding..let me know!

Can you post a pic of this etched glass, sounds interesting..

I would also colour-code mirrors over m3's but we'll see what you think when they arrive, upto you really. Can i suggest though, no matter which mirrors you go for they'll need painting, so i reckon you should get the bump strips and door handles done at same time, i usually tell people to leave them as they break up the car but on black it makes perfect sense to get them painted, very subtle mod that the untrained eye will hardly be able to tell but will make a visual difference

I do beleive that teh M3 mirrors come with baseplates even if specific, that are ****e! TBH i agree that standard ones C/C look better, esp over DTM's as well ugh

I'm thinking that the only problem with the M3 Mirrors is the base plate that sticks out a little.....I've seen once that are quite nice.....the Cup Mirrors....they look quite flush to the car-however, they look a bit pathetic if you get me..... aaargh-not sure wat to do. Dont really like the kinda long, think, stickey-outy stock mirrors.....so i want to change them-but i dont want a crappy baseplate sticking out, and i'm not sure about the Cup Mirrors I've seen.....what u think...here is the link to the cup mirrors I'm talking about...(I think these are very similar to the DTM mirrors....if not exactly the same....)

I think these mirrors would fit much more flush...lol A&R Jordan-i know what you think about them already! But anyways, please let me know what you think-any advice...positive or negative towards aftermarket mirrors would be VERY helpfull. Be even more helpful-and post pics if you have a Punto MK2 with Aftermarket mirrors....

Got my M3 Mirrors and Base Plates today...I think I'm gunna prime them, and spray them the same Fiat black that my car is. Ay ideas on how to do this? VIN number>give to fiat>get paint>sand down mirrors and base plates>prime>spray black on??? Is that the way it's done??? Let me know---any tips would be very much appreciated....Going away on Friday, so will let you guys know how it goes when I come back...probably get round to posting pics around the 21st Feb....

Paint code off your tailgate or vin plate then get a place to make paint up then just prime and paint, sand to remove imperfections.

No need to sand down as they will be primer ready I'd expect.
