Technical Multijet 1.3 egr code 402

Hi there



I have recently purchased a fiat 500 multi jet diesel car. 2008 70k miles

Prior to purchase it had a changed EGR valve (3mtgs ago) and week after getting an engine light appeared. Code …402 excessive flow.

A mechanic had looked at and not replace but clear pipes etc and fault went. Then returned yday after 5 days.

Please can you help I’m sort of at my wits end with the recurring issue

Depends how good they are
I know someone who retired after many years working on Fiat Motor Homes that one of the most common issues was pressure sensors.
It may not be your problem, all I would say is a good auto electronics diagnostics guy can save you a lot of money in wrong diagnosis.
