Anyone have any experience from buying parts from these shops? Is the partquality/service good? They are located in the US and I am planning on buying Fiat 500 parts.

Hi I have bought some parts from Mr.Fiat.com, the owners name is David they are reliable but tend to have spares of various quality so be careful.

I bought some chrome body moldings for my 500 Nouva and when the stuff came over I found that the quality was not that great and when i informed him of this, he said he has other moldings of higher quality but i have to pay more but said if i am not happy i could always return it so he is reliable

Have not dealt with fiat plus

Fiatplus is Chris Obert in Santa Cruz and is the king of Fiat in the US and was the last dealer service in the country (if a grumpy old sod if you go camping with him, lol)

Are you in the US? Try www.flu.org for advice on American suppliers

Hehe. But I guess he is the best choice for qualityparts then. I have compared his prices with mr.fiat and there are some differences. Especially on seatcovers, rubbermats and doormats. I think he imports them from italy and if he is the king of Fiat in the US i guess he knows what he is doing. I have also heard that mr. Fiat has various quality on his things and that the seatcovers may not fit as good as you'd like.

Yes I'm shopping in the US, preferably close to LA.
Anyone else has any experience with these two dealers or someone else near LA?

I buy from mrfiat every time. prices are low, but he offers i think every piece for the fiats produced. some times he sells NOS, and sometimes chinese replicas but in the end you will be glad with whatever you buy, especially if you dont want it to get stuck in italian customs, having it shipped to US.

good luck

Is that a big problem with the parts that fiatplus.com has? I think he stocks some parts but interior and some other parts he orders from Italy.

I've used MrFiat without any problems and he has reasonable prices. I also buy from Fiat Fun Imported http://www.funimported.com/. Before I moved, I used to visit his store directly. He has a very large warehouse filled with 500 and other Fiat parts.

Anyone have any experience with the interior like seatcover, door panels, carpet, and the small sunroof. Do they fit perfectly or are there big differences between the two stores?

Hi I am new to the forum and live in the UK. Back in early February I purchased some rear light lenses, side markers and door handle gaskets from Mr Fiat as listed on ebay and paid in full at the time of order. After a few weeks with no arrival I contacted them and was told they had none of the items in stock and it would be 10 day before they arrived at Mr Fiat. 10 days later it was still not in. I emailed them yesterday and the reply was....yes you guessed it 10 days until they come in.

Has anyone else had issues and more importantly did you ever receive your goods?

Now the icing on the cake.... I bought a spare tire holddown of ebay from them on a Buy-it-now auction and have paid them via paypal the buy-it now price.

I promptly got an email saying they wanted another $200 USD for it plus shipping!

They can't do this surely? The buy it now is a fixed price. When I complained they sent me a list of their terms and conditions stating they have the right to change the price of their goods.

Any armchair lawyers out there that can offer advise. They have all my money and I have no goods, plus they are holding the parts to a $200 ransom.

This is the first time I've ever bought parts outside of the UK, and its not a good experience as they are 5000 miles away from me.

To add salt to the wounds David at Mr Fiat has sent me an insulting email and said go ahead take leagal action against us.

I just want the parts I have paid for, nothing more, nothing less. I checked their negative feedback and there is a common theme here.

Does anyone deal with them regularly, or live nearby Atlanta, and try and find out whats happened, I'm almost $500USD out of pocket.

Many thanks

Thanks Dave,

I wish it were that easy. 80% was paid from my bank, and since it was more than 45 days ago I cannot claim back from Paypal on the ebay auction. They kept telling me they were out of stock and the days just flew by.

I have purchased a few things from Mrfiat and haven't had issues. They do tend to be a bit slow in filling orders, even when the parts are in stock. Their prices are considerably higher than some suppliers in Europe. I recently ordered a new front badge for my 71 500F from http://www.fiat500ricambi.com and it arrived in three days and was cheaper than ordering from MrFiat.com

"""They do tend to be a bit slow in filling orders!!!"""

It's been 10 weeks now since I paid them.

They say the parts are out of stock and demand an extra $200 on top of the buy it now price (I have already paid shipping).

Can anyone help?

I've bought parts from many of the listed and recommended suppliers that appear from time to time on this bulletin board and haven't had anything like the trouble described above from any of them.

Occasionally parts are late but an exchange of emails usually sorts out the problem. Also part quality is sometimes not up to scratch but if I return the bits I get either a refund or a credit.

Darren, I'm sorry to hear that you are having such dramas.

Chris

what do ebay say about them asking for more money? phone ebay gets better responce than online

edit.

the sellers ebay shop items say "Shipping cannot be calculated for your area. You can contact the seller for additional shipping costs and services" did you do this before clicking the buy it now button to agree any shipping costs?

Hello Fellow Fiat Enthusiasts,

I thought to take a moment here since Dave was nice enough to inform me of the ongoing debate on US suppliers. First, a little background about mrfiat.com. We have been in business since 2004 with an emphasis on customer service and product range. Since 2004 we have opened 3 ebay stores Everything Fiat, Everything Alfa, and Luisi Wheels.

As any discerning customer would quickly realize, from a brief review of the feedback posted on all 3 of our ebay stores, is that more than 99% of our customers are fully satisfied with their purchases and are return customers. It is very sad, that in this time and age, a small business such as ours with almost a 100% positive customer satisfaction rating has to endure and become victim of the mendacity of a customer who is upset that he could not take advantage of an honest mistake. Because of this mistake user Darren C does not hesitate to use slander in hopes to harm us. We
will never be able to stop such flagrant abuse of a forum, which obviously is not intended for this. Fortunately almost 100% of our customers are there to vouch for our sincerity and good
service, and from time to time we have to suffer the vindictivness of a few, which fortunately are always disregarded by the vast majority of our discerning customers.
Here below is the summary of what actually happened and in your good conscience be the judge:

Last week we added 8 new items in sucession to our ebay store using a specialized program for bulk ebay listings:

Ferrari Dino 206 246 Spare Tire Hold Down New $204.00
Ferrari 365 GTB 4 GTC 4 Spare Tire Hod Down New $204.00
Ferrari 275 330 365 GT Spare Tire Hold Down New $204.00
Ferrari 330 GT GTC Spare Tire Hold Down New $204.00
Ferrari 330 365 GT GTC Spare Tire Hold Down New $204.00
Ferrari 275 330 365 Spare Tire Hold Down New $204.00
Ferrari 250 GT Spare Tire Hold Down New $204.00
Ferrari 250 Spare Tire Hold Down New $204.00

Unfortunately, the person with the task of listing these items on ebay, by mistake of their own or the program, listed the Ferrari 330 GT GTC Spare Tire Hold Down New for -$4 instead of $204. Literally within minutes user Darren C purchased and paid for the item. We then immediately refunded the user his $4 and explained the mistake, at which point he explained his intention to pursue this matter legally. It is very unfortunate that such a trivial situation has turned into an slanderous ordeal.

As all of our customers know about Mrfiat.com and our ebay stores, which is duly noted in the consistent feedback and return customers we have, customer service is our #1 attribute. If any customer or potential customer has any questions or concerns, we are very easy to reach. You can call directly to 678-637-5103 or email us at [email protected] and we will be more than pleased to answer any questions you have about our products or service.

All the best,

David Besharat

Yes I agree there are 2 sides to a story. This is not about slander, just asking for advice from other like minded enthusiasts.

1. I purchased multiple items from Mr Fiat back on February 13th and paid at the same time. I phoned them from UK and got exact shipping charges which I paid over the phone via my card. Fedex or similar express service USA to UK

At no time did they say they actually never had the items in stock that they had listed for sale.

2. After 3 weeks I asked for a tracking number as the parts had not arrived. I was told they were out of stock and would be in stock in 10 days then dispatched.

3. After multiple emails every 10 days for the last 8 weeks I am continually told the parts would be in stock in 10 more days before dispatch.

4. In the middle of this saga I saw a tire hold down for sale in a buy it now auction for $4. Since I was already waiting for parts to be shipped I honestly clicked the buy-it-now and paid. I had no idea what other items they had on the auction or their price. I was using an advanced search on items up to £100.

5. This was a honest genuine purchase.

6. David emailed me requesting $200 more on top of the buy-it now.

7. I was not happy, so he emailed me the T & C and said I didn't have a leg to stand on legally, as they reserve the right to change the price without notice.

8. The rest of this is just a smoke screen as they cannot explain why they listed 3 other sets of parts for sale in February, took my money and didn't actually have them to sell.

David, as you have posted on this thread can you gracefully explain the above please.

well number 4 has been explained, it was a pricing error, it happens all the time on the net, some times people honour it but that is rare these days its normally just a refund. it wasnt an auction it was a bin in an ebay shop.

some times stuff goes out of stock and your supplier dont get the new items to you in time.

i am not sure what you expect mr fiat to do, have you asked to cancel the order and get a refund if you cant wait no longer?

Thanks for constructive advise Dave.
I think it is reasuring that David at Mr Fiat responded to this thread.

I just wanted to know after buying 3 items in 3 separate sales and the 4th ebay buy-it-now nonsense (which ebay tell me is a legally binding agreement, despite Davids explaination) if anyone else had problems with them not sending the goods out?

I am not after compensation or anything. I simply just want the parts I genuinely ordered and paid for in good faith.

Yes I could go elsewhere, but why should I have too. I haven't done anything wrong.
If they are as David posted earlier; sincere, then Mr Fiat should resolve this and restore confidence in their business to potential buyers.
