I'm going to patch my exhaust, the hole isn't big and there's no danger the exhaust will fall off.

I have cut up a can of "Monster" to put around the pipe.

The big question is - would the MOT inspector prefer Monster or Pepsi??

Its meant to be a joke but I'm not convinced a garage would see the funny side of it lol

:D

The sugar free (white one) is my usual go to.
I presume it has lots of caffeine? I have an intolerance to carbohydrates, it means when I have carbs i'm liable to fall asleep! I need the caffeine to counter this, i've never been to a doctor about this because big meals can make anyone sleepy, it affects me more than most though.

Imagine having pizza for dinner and then you're on the sofa snoring!

I think there is pretty much the same caffeine content as a can of monster, some thing like 160mg per can. About 3x cups of coffee’s worth per can.

As for falling asleep that’s possibly a product of age 😛

I don't drink much coffee these days, it's just a treat but when I do it's like tar :D

Maybe worse now, but missus is wide awake after her pizza, lucky her!

I recommend you test yourself for Diabetes. You might have Type 2 Diabetes. Avoiding carbohydrates is a useful step you've made, but you might need specific treatment.

I appreciate the comment, its good to promote health awareness, i have blood sugar and blood pressure test equipment at home and i'll test asap. I've been like this since a kid and never failed a test, its best to check regularly.

On the plus side i've never needed sleeping pills, a sandwich at supper time puts me out like a light lol.

I'm glad you are ok, then.
And you know, in my language there's a saying about sleeping after you eat, stating that is normal behavior.
It goes: "Fie omul cît de mic, după masă doarme un pic". Translation: No matter how small a man is, he takes a nap after a meal.

LOL, cool saying. I'm a little overweight but nothing major, so hopefully that'll provide some protection for diabetes as i get older.

This is the sort of thing I’ve not done in over 20 years, not since my first car and my very empty wallet days. Even then it was not a great fix and would fail pretty quick
I'm doing it partly for the amusement value, partly because the exhaust is a problem and partly because of my earlier amateur car repair skills.

This is the same exhaust that i've been "working" on for 6 months or so LOL. As in the thread below.

The exhaust cat is crooked so i was too and fro with it for ages but I've now fixed that problem. Its developed a leak in the middle, i've rounded off the bolt that holds the backbox hangar on so i either have to cut the hangar off or fight with it to do the job properly.

So i'm just going to bodge it through the MOT next month.
