Hi all,

After getting my car back too normal, Im thinking of doing fog light's as my next investment, They may come in handy when winter appears again, Needed them this year really lol

I want to have a go at it, but want do it properly,

so i was thinking of getting some fog lights from scrappy and this wiring kit from halford's

http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/..._productId_169807_langId_-1_categoryId_165688

Just wanted your say if you think this will be ideal, and if anybody has had any experience with this kit or has done it this way.

Would also like to wire it to the switch on the panel below. But need figure that out unless anybody has already done it? willing to share lol

Thanks
Dave

think my main concern is how to wire it to that switch panel? The kit does come with a switch, But would like to do it to that, so it look's tidyer.

Has anybody done it this way? Of is the wiring the same.

Thanks
Dave

Hi,
I fitted foglamps to my daughter's mk1 a few years ago; I got some punto ones from ebay and then cut out the preformed apertures in the bumper; legally they have to be wired so that they can only switch on when the headlights are on dip; I took the main power to the relay directly off the battery via a fuse placed as close to the battery as possible; the circuit to switch the relay on was taken off the wire going to one of the headlights (dip) via a small switch that I put just to the left and below the steering wheel (but you could wire this through your illustrated panel switch); they work but despite using superbright bulbs don't help that much when driving conditions are poor; I then replaced the original H4 single bulb headlamp units with the twin H1 units that were fitted to the GT Mk1 and also used superbright bulbs; the effect was so dramatic especially on dip that main beam is hardly used at all; I suggest you do this rather than bother with the foglights; the GT units are the same size and shape but I think I had to modify the wiring sockets slightly but it wasn't a problem......
ps I think shop4parts still sell the GT units

hhhmmmm sounds like a plan tinytim, do you reckon a yellow punto sporting would have these headlights you speak of? as there is one at my local scrappy at the moment? If so i could whip them off lol if not is there any other model of punto that would have them.

Thanks
Dave
