Well my cousins made some progress in fitting the 2.8 non turbo engine, Bought a donor van and got the gear box, drive shafts,speedo cable and throttle assembly as well as 4 decent tyres, and a new fuel tank then scrapped the van.
So engine fitted with new timing belt and new clutch, New sump to be fitted.
Still some issues with one of the engine mounts and the oil pump is fouling on one of the parts that mount/support the track rod .
Gear box mounting bracket to be made as well.
Surprised cousin isn't tearing his hair out so far, Asked him if he'd do another not ruling it out as this one is a learn how it fits together job.
