Newbie MES question.
Somehow (!), after following guidance posts, I managed to properly remove my Blue&Me unit from my 62 plate Ducato X250. The mileage on the dashboard no longer flashes. Hurrah!

Having had this success, I threw away the broken Blue&Me unit. I had an OMG moment! Would there be a circumstance where I had to do the procedure again

To add another spanner into the works, my laptop packed up and I have had to do a fresh install of MES. So, is there a way I can save my current proxy setting to be able to ‘reinstall’ it if I need to in the future. A bit like a Windows restore point I suppose. Thanks

Hello,

The files that MES creates are stored in teh Multi ECU directory. A computer firm will be able to rescue the old files from your har ddisc unless you are very very unlucky. Normally computers just start up and look about to see what bits are at the party somif a B&M was reinstalled it would appear, but require connecting via a proxi. I hav not done it but would ot expect serious issues. My last lap top fail was a hard drive fail. The local firm rescued everything and installed an SSD hard drive fro silly money. (Maybe £60) the machine is fantastic now and so so much faster. SSD computers we have from cold to fully operational in 5 to 7 seconds. STandard disc was minutes on the old 1 TB laptop.
