Hi I'm thinking of putting 4x4 tyres on my 2001 fiat ducatto hymer. Has anyone on here done that?
It's currently running on Michelin Agilis 215 / 70 /R15 on standard steel wheels.
What is the largest tyre (width and side wall height) I could fit please that it doesn't rub the bodywork on full lock.
TIA

There are wheel and tyre sites online that can give all the options for different models.
However just because a 4x4 tyre looks big and chunky doesn't mean it will be suitable for carrying the load of a big MH , check the other numbers on the sidewalls of your original tyres relating to tyre load ratings.
A standard tyre for a 3.5 tonne van may not be stiff enough for a high sided MH when cornering as more sideways load.
Also some 4x4 tyres are made pliable to aid grip off road.
Another point is they will wear out quicker due to there actually being less tread on the road with all the gaps between the treads plus the extra flexibility they have, so the rubber blocks move more.
