OK folks.

Most Easterly Panda's inspired me to go out scrap yard hunting today down in South London.

To my amazement I found not 1, not 2, not 3, but at least 4 Panda's in a FIAT dismantlers.

Firstly, an immacuate Black Selecta L reg 1108cc with un rusty, yes UN rusty doors, good bonnet, front wings and what appears to be a brand new un marked bumper  She has the 'posh' looking brown stripey interior , Cinq 2-spoke wheel and also a complete selecta surround (including the P R N D L illuminated bit) Was running when it went in the yard a few weeks ago. The bloke wants £30.00 per complete door, which is a bit steep but trust me they are worth it.Nearly bought them myself, but Mandapanda's doors are also rust free. I could, possibly get them and bring them to the Southern Panda meet if some one really, really needs them that badly.

Secondly a white Dance, thridly a tatty Metallic Greeny Selecta, and a faded red Panda. To be honest I was so excited by the Black Selecta find I didn't take much notice of the others. The panels are as clean as Mandapanda.

I managed to find an undamaged rear parcel shelf for £10.00, which I don't even know if I want, but I got it any way as it was too good to miss and is as rare as hen's teeth. I may put it on e-bay but I will put it on the Forum Classifieds first to give you guy's and girls first refusal. Not looking to make loads on it, if I can get my £10.00 back I'll be chuffed.

I am not going to put the where abouts of this yard for general viewing (as it's hard enough as it is to get decent Panda parts) - If you would like the address and number then PM me and I'll happily let you have the details. That way Forum members know about it first.

All in all a great find - and Mandapanda's heather started working again today so double bonus all round. :)

I'll give you £10 for the parcel shelf.......I don't suppose there was a washer reservoir with working pumps in it that would fit a 1994 Panda?

Hi Flossyfly.

There was a washer reservior in the Black L Reg Selecta but no motor in it. :(

I'll PM you about the Parcel shelf, don't wont to get told off by the Mod's LOL.

Hi John, Is there a Panda 'Colour' or one with a twin sunroof at this scrappy? Just might save me going back to Bridges in Peas Pottage if I can get everything from the same place.

Also (going of track slightly) did your old Black Selecta have an emergency fuel cut off switch mounted by the passenger door under the dash? Has anyone's Panda got one of these? Many thanks.

Jon.

Hi Jon.

Am going back over this morning to get the doors and Gina's airbox, so i'll check for you and let you know.

Our N reg Panda Colour had the fuel cut off switch in the passenger footwell.

Called them and they said you were oing over for doors but unsure who for? they also have white doors that they say are good which would suit perfectly for the Italia. They said delivery then changed their mind, they also don't take cards :bang:

Hi all.

Well a good days forraging. Got air box thingy with clips on for a certain lady and 2 pukka doors for a certain Italia 90 (y) I'll PM you both in a sec. Probably looked quite odd pottering thru Brixton with 2 doors on the roof (Does that make it a 5 door panda ? LOL

Jon - There was no Sunroof Panda / Colour I'm afraid. Their is one OK Drivers door in White on the dance no rust that I could see, which I think has an older style parcel shelf. The driver's one is shot tho !

Flossyfly - Sent you a PM about Parcel shelf.

The scrap yard were great - even taking a message from another forum member for me to call them back. Possibly the greatest little breakers in Sarf Lundun ? (y)

Alan,

Just PM'd you about your doors.

Ps, White Italia 90 + black doors = Proper Panda LOL.

Regards,

John

Can't thank you enough John, if I had known there was an older style parcel shelf I would have jumped like an idiot as I desperately need one of those as well .

Anyway counting chickens already hatched, I would say your a f**king star (y)(y):worship::worship:
