Cinquecento mariocinq's sporting.

Introduction

well about time i posted in here got it over 2 weeks ago its now lowered 40-40,14" oz racing wheels, 866 cam, new water pump, new gasket set, 81600miles on a 97 R reg and i am part way though planning a low blow supercharger upgrade aiming for around 110bhp
Re: mariocinq's sporting

I lke the car..How are you finding life with the new cam?

Re: mariocinq's sporting

love the low down tourque and it revs so much easier and the throttle seems more responsive if you can get one do it but the shimms are a pain to set up but well worth the time

Re: mariocinq's sporting

So this cam fits in a standard 1108 cinq then? Where abouts would I find one?

Re: mariocinq's sporting

any punto 75 motor but when you do it make sure you gap the valve shimms right as it will cause alot of probs if you dont but yes do it if you can find one and yes if you swap the pully wheel over from the standard 176 1108 cam onto the 866 1242 cam(punto 75mpi) it fits perfect its abit of work to get the shimms gapped right but so worth it

Re: mariocinq's sporting

and so the engine swap starts

the donor car before i stripped it and then 6hrs later

Re: mariocinq's sporting

here is the pic of how he looks now

i wouldn't recomend going for a smaller wheel, remember these dont have PAS and when you start putting slightly wider wheels on you start to make the steering heavier, this wheel thankfully is only slightly smaller so still nice and light ish

Re: mariocinq's sporting

well i am going to cut this bumper out like the yellow one then spray it satin black with yellow mesh and yellow inserts or do i do the mesh black and the inserts red?

Re: mariocinq's sporting

well thats what i was thinking but since the strut brace is red and the seat belts(until i get a second harness and take them out) are red but we shall see i will be starting on the bumper this weekend so will put pics up and let you know how it goes, i may even just trow the 1242 in at the weekend and see if it runs or i might put it on the stand and start stripping it, we'll see lol

Re: mariocinq's sporting

the main problem with supercharging the fire engine is the key on the crank pully, it snaps too easy. once i have found a financially viable way of strenghening this then it will get one lol cos everything else is easy lol

just drill some holes into the mating face of the pully where its against the crank and butt weld it ?

just have hte pully on correctly first time :ROFLMAO:

sorted now go put a supercharger on!
