Hey! Have one technical here.. I'm planning to swap a gearbox in my Bravo HGT and fit the one from Marea 155 wich is supposed to have a shorter final drive [3.73].
The probIem is that I just found on Automobile-catalog.com that the Marea 155 had actually two different gearbox setups in it's lifespan. Is that true?
The one from spring 1999 till Autumn 2000 is supposed to have much longer gears in the opposite of the later one that had the same gears as the older 2.0 20v Marea and just shorter final drive 3.73 instead of 3.56. I have a chap that have the gearbox but doesn't know what's inside...:D Any help is very welcome

I fitted a gearbox from a 150 20v Marea Weekend which was one of the very last Marea from factory .....
the final hearing was exactly the same as the HGTs gearbox ...
not worth time if I'm honest

Yeah who knows I red that gearbox is supposed to have the final drive of 3.73, so a bit shorter.. But I don't have that info confirmed.. Well in this case when I don't really know what's inside that box I will not buy it.

I have however another plan and it's to buy an Alfa Romeo 147 2.0 box (it's 3.87 FD so even better) and try to bolt it on the HGT engine. It looks like I will have to change atleast a part of the bellhousing thought..
