Technical Manufacturers head unit replacement

Hi , I’ve got a touch screen head unit and I bought a second hand one which has Apple car play , both are made by dallchi and seem to be standard in these vehicles
Yet the unit I bought doesn’t work , absolutely nothing so completely dead and the mileage is flashing on the dash
Any ideas please ?

The VP2 unit is manufactured by Continental. At the very least you need to run a proxi alignment with MultiEcuScan. There may be other features that need to be reconfigured if a proxi alignment alone doesn't work, either by directly changing bytes in the config file which MES can do, or removing/replacing features in the configuration list which AlfaOBD is more adept at doing directly.

The mileage flashes because the vehicle is seeing an unknown/incorrect network node that conflicts with the config information in the Body Control Module. A proxi alignment scans and identifies all modules on the network, writes the changes to the BCM and then distributes copies of the config file to slave nodes on the network
