Technical Low power on startup

I have a Ducato based motorhome with a 130 multijet engine (2010). On startup from cold am experiencing low power for about 10 minutes then it bursts into life. When I try to draw away it comes in spurts and I have to keep slipping the clutch to prevent it stalling. No smoke or warning lights. After it comes to life it drives great. Any ideas?.

I would guess sticking throttle valve due to water ingress but you should read codes first.

No codes for this case, hence no warning light. The ECU is not aware of the throttle valve position because the sensor wires are not used in this engine type.

Search for throttle valve and/or water ingress on this forum.
