Degreaser could forwell have soaked the HT leads
meaning they were arc'ing out
They've dried out and there fine now
But next time they get wet - well it'll return
Checking the resistance of a HT ISN'T a its okay or not
its 1 factor
look at the shielding and connections
Alot wont fail on resistance, they break down on shielding and as a result you get a short to earth and the plug "misses"
For how cheap HT's are, i'd seriously put some in, piece of mind and all that
