Hi all can anyone help. I have a fiat ducato motorhome with Carioca body and have lost the electrics to the cab. I stupidly forgot I had it plugged in to the mains to charge it all up and tried to start the engine causing the electrics to cut out. I have checked all the fuses I can see and all are ok. Does anyone have any ideas. All help will be greatly appreciated.

Start at the beginning i.e. the leisure battery/ies and trace the voltage through to the DC control panel. What make of DC system is it e.g. CBE??

It would be useful if you could give the age and type of the Ducato in question, and also confirm whether it's the vehicle electrics or habitation electrics you've lost. (Since I would "read" vehicle from cab, but Ray has obviously read habitation).
What age of vehicle is it? Is it an X250 i.e. post 2007 or earlier. In any event you still have to start at the beginning i.e the cab battery and follow the circuit through to the fuse box and fuses. Has it got mega or maxi fuses connected to the battery?

A 2007 motorhome could be either X240 or X250 based as it is on base-vehicle crossover.
Also posting the engine size type would probably help to identify.
If, however, it is the X240 (pre-facelift) version, I'm with Ray here. On this version, the vehicle battery is under the bonnet, and has a fusebox attached to the positive terminal with some major fuses in it. It sits between the positive terminal and the positive vehicle electrics lead.
It can be a real sod to get to, but (if it is this version, and you wouldn't be likely to find the fusebox by chance) I would certainly start here.
For the X250, I've not got an immediate view of what would cause such a comprehensive failure.

There are also fuses connected to the positive terminal on the battery on the X250 which is below the cab floor. On mine there is a main Mega fuse and then 2X 50A and 1 x 70A Maxi fuses protecting the cab and engine fuse boxes.
