Hello fellow Fiaters, I am looking for this little part, I don't know what it's called but it's part of the turn signal cancelling mechanism for my 82 Spider. I can probably get one if I spend a bunch of cash on an entire turn signal assembly, but if I can get away with just this part I'd rather do it that way. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Any chance you can get a friend with one of those plastic printer things to make one up?

I've never seen the part you require being available separately.

One possible option might be to scavenge this part from another old turn signal switch assembly, if you can find one (failure of the headlight switch contacts is a common reason for replacement). I can appreciate your preference for just replacing the damaged part - I'd have the same approach.

However, these column switches (the correct term to use if looking at parts suppliers w/sites) are not too expensive e.g. vickauto.com currently list a unit (on sale) that seems to be suitable for your car @ $79

Also, midwest-bayless.com have some starting at $97 (and they're located in Ohio).

Thanks guys, I don't want to spend that much on such a small part.

Yes it's broken just above the spring that snaps the piece in place, thanks for the suggestion.
If you're going to attempt a repair, might I suggest drilling a small hole in both parts and inserting a pin or piece of wire to add some extra strength to a bonded repair.
