I hope you don't think I am spamming again but I genuinely love this stuff and that is why I sell the stuff I get because I think that someone else may also like it.

Here is my newest product it is a key upgrade. It is the rubber that covers the buttons. It only takes a few seconds to fit... here is a photo.

Pricing is still being worked out. They also come in other colours.
What do you think? (apart from Maxi) :yum:

Nice to see you continually bringing new products to the 500 marketplace. If it wasn't prohibitive in price I would like to see each of the three sections (lock, unlock and boot open) as Italian flag colours, (y)

On seeing the thread title I did think, bloody hell another post from him but I have to say I like. I'd happily take a couple in black just to replace my black one which is a bit worn :)

So don't think I don't like your stuff, I just don't like all of it :p

depending on the price it seems a very good idea to me , and i especially like grimwaus idea of the diffeent sections being the italian colours

RUI, I'm only another user, but I'm happy for you to post these ideas to the forum. They're interesting. I like most of your ideas so far, but I'm more impressed with your entrepreneurial efforts. :)

If you get tempted to make similar toys for Audis, let me know.

[PS. and OT. I've a feeling I met you at the first PistonHeads studio photography day last year...? Or were you on a different one from me?]

Rui, I like it and if price is right then you are on.

This will protect the original, would be great if you could offer to supply one cover with 3 rubber inserts (1 red, 1 green and and 1 in italian colours) as a package !!

oh can you get me a blue flashing light to stick on car and a siren :)

For a couple of quid I'd go for a red one like pictured for sure.

I've always thought the outer key cover would be good in ivory leather to match the interior..

grimwau I don't think my supieres can do the 3 colours on the same part...but I have asked.

306maxi I know you secretly love me.

SiliconS What Audi stuff do you want? I have done a PH studio day I think it was may last year or was it the year before?

The price is not going to be a couple of quid. If 1000's were being made and sold they would be around that price but the market is very limited and unfortunately when something needs manufacturing the more you make the cheaper they are.

What sort of price are we talking?

I do like some of your stuff, but I'm very much the sort of person who likes a very standard look so things like heater control rings, pinstripes on the wheels, painted 500 badges and so on aren't my thing. But I have to say none of the stuff you've done is terrible or garish or anything like that (y) That's about as close to a compliment as you'll get from me :p

Well me being from the Punto evo section I just saw this thread.

I would take some if priced correctly. I agree with the italian colours as said above.

Maybe once you have got prices etc post this in the Evo section as its the same ley and im sure they would take some too ! :worship: (y)

The 4 Ps - Promotion, Place, Product & Price.

A suggestion...

Given the market for this 'upgrade' it is across all of the Fiat & Abarth range so that should give you good numbers. It's light so postage will be cheap. I have a price point in mind but I would think it terms of a 1000 for your first order. You could have your company URL on side for 'half price' onces as 'break even' items to promote your range. You could initially limit the colour choice on the rubber insert to the right shade of red.

Considering in the UK that there are only 20 something thousand 500's I think selling 1000 is possibly a little unlikely.

I will take 50% commision for using my idea

But on a serious note I love the idea, my rubber bits are getting a little dirty and tired. And since its the same key there its another car range you can target, im not sure if the 500 and Evo shares it key with any other Fiats ? (y)

The point made by Fordyl has to be relevant though.
Of course. But I think with different people wanting different colours, the increased cost of makin a tricolore version and so on that this would be a small scale thing. Of course if you can sell to the whole of europe for instance then it becomes more viable. But then once people have one they're unlikely to need another so it's a one off thing.

Still, I'd have a couple of black ones as I said ;)

My OH has her own range of products and I would give her 'her head' since she is in tune with her customers. Starting out in business has its risks and you're better off being conservative on numbers being sold. Have a limited run of a 1000 gives it some exclusivity so you're not resorting to flogging them off if you're stuck with too much stock. Cashflow and lead time and the VAT man are the challenges with ordering from China. We have had our issues with quality and spelling mistakes on inscriptions.
