I would agree that air-filter won't do much.

Get your engine balanced instead. That should be less than 100 quid.

I want to get my car lowered as well as there is currently too much 'roll-steer' i.e. I've spun it a few times, does anyone know a cheap AND effective way of doing this.

Also I want to get my wheels widened for better traction, is this still legal? If so where can I get it done?

when i said standard i meant standard size. just go to kwik fit or something and ask for gas shocks instead of oil. As for wider wheels buy a set of alloys then just make you wheel arch at the front wider. I have 195s on mine and the back fit in fine but the front stick out about 10-20mm if that.

P.S gas shock are a bit more expensive but not too much more than oil

Of course you can purchase gas shocks...I'm looking for them but reconditioned because the price difference is noticeable:p

Do I turn fast enough!?

The problem with getting alloys is that really you should tell the insurance company. Do you still get full-lock with 195s? Did you spend much on your wheels? I don't really want to spend much on the Panda at the moment as I just got ripped off for a d/shaft and the nearside front brake hopse is leaking..

i havent told my insurnce company yet but i will do when i change the insurance to my other car,im just gonna say it came with them. yeah can still get full lock. It used to rub on the plastic covers on the inside of the wheel arch but ive cut them down. i spent about £520 on my alloys cause i got 15" which meant i had to have low profiles but if you get 13/14" they will be about 450 for the 14s. maybe a little less.
