I have the (slight) "juddering" in 5th between 40-50. Just came across this on a car review site. Anybody know anything out it?

"I have owned my Qubo since new. I am a Fiat master technician. I have been very pleased with my Qubo. I have experienced the juddering problem, it can be solved by a software update on the engine management ecu, which can be carried out by your local fiat dealership. "

Like most vehicle "Service Bulletin Faults", we used to have folders full of them before the days of computers for several makes, but it wasn't economical for the manufacturers to make them available unless pushed.
I recall one on Fords where when engine warm there was a hesitation at low speed pick up, the Bulletin advised richening the fuel mixture, then a larger main jet and finally if customer really kicked up the actual cure which was a new different make of Carb. at a cost then of around £300.
The reason was the drillings for the jets was too close to the base and fuel vapourised in the tubes in warmer weather, so a design fault.
