recently it appears my laptop is cracking up, within past few weeks its getting real bad, and feels like the screen is going to snap off the hinges when i open it

You better start saving your money to get that repaired, cause if the case snaps, it'll break the screen, and that would make the repair very costly.

The case is knackered

So, either araldite something to the back of the case to hold it together, or find a dead one of the same model and re-case it.

i dont mind a tatty case, if it had a perfect case then i would feel bad about throwing it across the room onto a wooden floor

il probably have to find a new case soon, because il have a detachable screen soon.
