To stick an abath badge on a 1.4 sport.

Love the Abath logo but couldn't justify an Abath just yet:D

My tribute :worship:

Lol

You could do it if you wanted to, but I think people who know well enough what "AbaRth" is, would realise that it isn't an Abarth model.

Personally I wouldn't, but it is all down to personal taste.

It would be similar to sticking a AMG badge on Merc when it was just a standard one...

hey it is your car and if you want to then do it. Just don't go around telling people that you drive an abarth.
I must admit that I would not do it and I am thinking about changing the abarth caps on my abarth alloys.

I'm not thinking about rebadging the car just a small sheild on tailgate(y)

I've seen some Abarth 500s on Autotrader with the Scorpian on the back hatch - easy to do & easy to take off.
Re changing the badges - some are of the opinion that they shouldn't be changed but with a 1.4 Sport if I had my black one back again I probably would change them if you wanted to go the 'next stage'.
A lot of guys who have bought the A500 wouldn't be seen dead in a Fiat 500 - so I'll say no more.

As long as you don't go too crazy I don't see a problem :) Tbh I think all the scorpion's people put on Abarth's look a bit seeking and attentionwhoreish.

As for the people who drive Abarth's but wouldn't drive a Fiat, thankfully most of them seem to have gone to other forums thankfully :)

Reading some of the recent posts they seem to have a problem with how some of them are being driven. If they had come on the FF initially the insurance classification of the 1.4 would have gone up. Reminds me of the onus that is on a Publican not to serve if someone is over the limit. At least they didn't publish a guide in how to permanently turn off your ESP. :)

I think the problem with the Abarth is that it appeals to the snob in some people. Different dealer network, different brand name on the V5c etc etc.

For me the sums just don't work out for an Abarth. The 1.2 was just so much cheaper to buy, servicing is cheaper, brake parts are cheaper, it's easier on tyres, road tax is less, insurance is less etc etc.

I dont see anything wrong with putting the scorpion badge on the non Abarth 500. They'r still both Fiat.

Though people might think your trying to make your car an Abarth when its not. Kind like putting a 'turbo' badge on a non turbo car.

So I guess you won't be considering a 4x4 Abarth 500 then if was put into production? :p

Well I like the idea but it'd have to handle better and have more power :p

That said the 2k shopping list I made up last Friday when bored at work of bits for the brakes and suspension of the Subaru seems a better way to spend money :p
