Technical Interchangeable panels?

Hello!

I’ve just picked up a 2017 500 to be a daily runaround to offset the running costs of having a ‘toy’.

The car has very light damage to the front end, it needs a headlight as the mounts are cracked, a new bonnet and potentially a new front bumper if I can’t polish out some paint transfer marks.

I’ve had a quick search on the site and can’t find anything obvious but, are the bonnets and headlights all the same on all years?
To my untrained eye they are but I just want to make sure before I go out and buy anything.

My plan is to buy a second hand bonnet in the same colour as my car to save costs and it’s only a simple job to change over.

Also, I know that the front bumpers have evolved through the years but, can an earlier bumper be put on a later car?

I think that the headlamps are different...if you have a facelift model, I think the bonnets are the same.

Headlights are different to earlier 2008 on cars


Pretty sure you can get headlight mount kits to replace your broken ones

If all the broken bits are there for the headlights just Epoxy them back together thats what I did to save money

You can also buy kits on eBay for headlights to repair the lugs.
Shame your not closer I have a couple of headlight units (without bulbs that I need to check)

Hover over the name of whoever , like in your case I'd hover over the blue MKG in your info panel (just below your capital letter M) in this thread each time you post, then a pop-up appears that states "start conversation".....

I have a nagging feeling the lights are pre facelift… I’ve got three in total and a DRL as well, I think they are all pre facelift.
