Hey guys. I semi-recently bought a GP from 2007 and although it's in great shape in many ways there are also some bits that are showing some confounding wear. One of the things that just sticks out like a sore thumb is all the bits that are flaking off the radio. I don't mind the functionality of the stock radio and I have found a local scrapyard that sells one dirt cheap. I just want to make sure it's just gonna a problem free swap, one and done. Or do I need to worry about some sort of infuriating pairing/theft prevention system that lots of manufacturers implemented around that time?

You'll need the anti-theft code. You can get one from this very website.

However, I'm not sure its worth installing a radio player that is 10-15 years old. Why don't you put a modern one in?

Do you mean from this page?

And the reason I'm not looking for a more modern unit (other than the one I found is incredibly cheap) is simply that I don't need any of the bells and whistles. My requirements are as follows: CD player.
