Technical Grundig car radio code

Hi FIAT lovers,

The cd player in the grande punto i got from my brother didn’t play cd’s. And i just bought all my favourite albums…

So i bought a new car radio system. But i have no code, since it is from a second hand vehicle.

I read all about these codes online and how to get them. But am no hero when it comes to this.

Anyone who can help me?

The radio is a Grundig F199 cd
Serial number: FA588881662917

I'm afraid they (grundig f199cd) can only be unlocked by reading in the Eeprom chip. We can't calculate from a serial number alone.

I’ve found that some computer repair shops (independents) still have the capability to get the information from the radio…I’m presuming as the increased popularity for old gaming kit. It was a local shop that sorted code for my old car radio/cassette with remote multi-cd player

I'm no expert on this particular model but I suspect you'll need to visit a car stereo guru who can read (or at the very least disable) codes on radios.
