Hello!! Is there someone who knows if you can bya a removal tool for Fiat Ducato 2 8jtd injectors?? Best Regards from Sweden.

- Fiat Ducato 2 8jtd

If yours are this Bosch type then I use this slide hammer tool with it's adaptor, the only problem is you have to undo the nut I am pointing at on injector and under neath in the centre is a tiny ceramic ball valve which if lost or disturbed means the injector will not work and the whole engine will not start.Hello!! Hello. Thanks for your answer, how and were can you see that it is a bosch injectors? I have played around with these a fair bit in the past and ultrasonically cleaned and rebuilt them, even testing using a old school injector "pop off" tester and a 24 volt jump pack connection wire just brushed across the terminals to trigger the solenoid to check spray pattern basically.
If you try that do not hold wires on , just spark it quickly at your risk.![]()
If the design looks like my photo it probably is, but it should have Bosch written on the top solenoid bit, plus there will be a long series of numbers which if you check on line will probably confirm.Hello. My Fiat didnt pass the emission control in Sweden ,they said it had too much black smoke coming out of the exhaust pipe!!If the design looks like my photo it probably is, but it should have Bosch written on the top solenoid bit, plus there will be a long series of numbers which if you check on line will probably confirm.
Note late injectors on many vehicles went to piezo injection triggers so totally different.
That kit will extract many different injector types, the only issue is having to take the top nut off to fit extractor, so be careful.
What was the reason for needing the injectors out?
Black smoke can be too much fuel, but also not enough air/oxygen.My Fiat didnt pass the emission control in Sweden ,they said it had too much black smoke coming out of the exhaust pipe!!![]()
The inspection guy drove the car on second gear slow and pressed on full gas and black smoke came out no printout they focused on the smoke when they pressed the gaspedal. I have no leaks i've had the car for almost 3 years and there is no droppa or oilleaks in the garage.Black smoke can be too much fuel, but also not enough air/oxygen.
Are you getting full turbo/boost, is the intercooler or pipes leaking?
Did they say at what point the smoke was, do you have a print out?
Many years ago, I owned a Peugeot 405 diesel car with similar symptoms. As car was used for work I had to put repair in hands of local garage. Unfortunately I was never inforned of the exact cause, but I was told that it was a broken part in the injection pump. The inspection guy drove the car on second gear slow and pressed on full gas and black smoke came out no printout they focused on the smoke when they pressed the gaspedal. Assuming yours is turbo intercooled I would check you are getting full boost with no air leaks along the way.The inspection guy drove the car on second gear slow and pressed on full gas and black smoke came out no printout they focused on the smoke when they pressed the gaspedal. Hello. Thanks for your answer, i will check all hoses to look for leaks.Assuming yours is turbo intercooled I would check you are getting full boost with no air leaks along the way.
If enough oxygen/air getting to engine to burn all the fuel at full throttle/accelerator.
A leaking intercooler or hose is often the cause.
Failing all that then try and get a diagnostic reading on the injectors etc. But my thoughts are oxygen/air first as I said at #6.
If that is the cause then once fixed you will get more engine power also as it will be able to burn all the fuel efficiently, so no black smoke of unburnt fuel.
Hello. If it comes to replace the injectors, is it possible to personal them with some cind of lubrication? You can try some releasing agent such as Plus Gas etc.Hello. If it comes to replace the injectors, is it possible to personal them with some cind of lubrication? Best Regards Trond
Ask them to check for turbo leaks between turbo-hoses-intercooler and inlet manifold as that may be the problem.Ok. I've left the motorhome to the mechanical shop to change the fuel filter and uninstall the optimation and reinstall original data. Previous owner probably did the optimation, just to eliminate that issue. I hope you understand my English.Best Regards Trond
