I have a Fiat Bravo SX (1996) and I would like to install a Grundig CD changer. Apparently the car is already wired for this type of changer unit.

1) Is this true, and how do I check?

2) I have been told that the model number is MCD-36, but that this system was updated in 1998 to the MCD-46. Is this true, and will the MCD-46 fit my '96 car?

3) Does anyone know where I can get one of these changers cheaply? I am a student and can't afford to pay over £200.

4) Would anyone like to sell me one that is already fitted to their car? Perhaps you are thinking of selling your Bravo soon, and would benefit more by selling the CD changer separately.

Thanks for any help.

Car Audio dude!

Try caraudio.com -follow the links for viat bravo and they do it for around 160/170 quid!

Here you go...

You get the lead with the unit so if you have one of the later machines it will not come with the CD Lead.

Re-posted installation instructions for MCD36

I've re-posted my original contribution from April. It is specific to a later model, and the 6-CD changer rather than the 10 (the method is the same, but the CD-selection keys only go up to 6 on the head unit I have), but it might help. Caraudio Direct got my unit to me the very next day, which I regard as close to faultless service!
