I am not 100% sure if you can slide the clip 1 with the manifold pipe still in place, I thought I had done this but have been informed it's not possible, no big deal as it's only two extra screws to undo
Ok. Have swopped over no1 and no2 injectors. Sorry to say I still have the same fault codes P0300, P0301, U1600, U1602.
It’s getting to be a bit of a pain. Thanks very much Koalar, much appreciated

We've got an injector firing if it's wet with fuel
We've got a good spark firing

We've swapped all the HT over and the problem hasn't moved

I think it's time to perform a compression test

OK, some good news and some very bad news.
The pressure test on cylinder one was OK
(Up to 130-135) couldn’t test others, my tester couldn’t get into the spaces.
The bad news is that having taken off the two ECU connectors twice now I appear to have bent two of the prongs in the smaller of the two plugs, tried very carefully to straighten one but it snapped off. Looks like either a scrapped car or expensive repair.
Now it’s unlikely that was the original cause of the problem, because as far as I know they haven’t been off before.
The car will not start now obviously. The fault codes are still the same with extra P0304 and P0351(Ignition coil primary/secondary circuit)
Would you agree with my statement about repairing ECU, and is it likely that the original problem, misfire on 1 is anything to do with the ECU.
(Bring back distributors that you could mess about with)

130 i take it's psi

Should be over 200

Mine was 210-220
Yes, sorry PSI. That was using something from my dim and distant past, which I had to hold on. The needle went into the green, silly me that was for old old cars. Hence the PSI.
Taken a chance now and ordered a proper screw on one, so we’ll see what that says. Obviously not worth doing anything else if the engine wants a rebuild.

Yes it's quite confusing

The internet often quotes a good or bad PSI

But it depends on the car

A low compression pre war to a F1 car and everything in-between

I don't know what the official pressure should be, I have test a few they have been over 200

I don't know what the lower limit is but it does not fire at 75 as that roughly what I got with a blown head gasket

The Toyota Yaris is quoted at 213 psi

OK so I have been quite a while since continuing with this thread, things like Golden wedding celebrations and such like.
So for anyone who was following, I have realised that I really should have started it in the technical section, so I will restart and begin again and continue with my saga.in the technical section.

Hi, my 2009 panda has today suddenly developed what seems like misfiring, and the ignition failure light has come on.
Service book says I can drive it( which I can) slowly. It also says take to main dealer. Haynes manual takes it one step further and says more or less that it’s an ecu failure which is beyond scope of DIY.
My question is has anyone any idea of cost of this, bearing in mind the car is 15 years old and not worth a lot, and if any one has any thoughts on this it would be much appreciated.
