Morning all,

I've been lurking for a while as I've been trying to convince my other half that the Panda cross is the right choice for our second car. She's finally coming around so am looking with a view to buying.

I know that there aren't many Cross (mk4?) for sale - I'm looking for a 2019-20 model but have noticed a few being advertised as City Cross that my very amateur eyes are convinced might actually a Cross.

So my questions to the resident experts on here are just to clear this up in my head:

1: If a car is being advertised as a City Cross but it has the dial to switch to permanent 4x4 & hill descent, is this definitely an error on the part of the seller?
2: What colours
does the Cross come in? I know of yellow, black, white, red & dark green. But minimal grey? I thought that this was only the City Cross?

If somebody could confirm I'd be incredibly grateful, I need to buy one before the other half changes her mind again!

thanks in advance

thanks everyone for the replies - Don't worry - all very clear! Found 2 on Cinch both of which are listed as City Cross and your information confirms their error! I'm certainly not going to let them know!

I suppose I should follow this up with another question given the expert available. My wife has stated that IF she's to get on board with a Panda Cross it must come with rear parking sensors. I notice that often the sensors at the rear are located in difference places. I'm not entirely sure which are the factory fitted ones and which are after market - or whether it actually makes any difference whatsoever,

Silly question I know, but if I get the go ahead and then she doesn't like it it's likely to be held over me until the end of time!!!

Factory fit have 3 sensors. Ricambi accessori have four Who knows why.. The fitting points are maked on the inside of the bumper. If for a second car for your Mrs I would go for a CIty Cross, You have the looks and without the complications, expensive servicing and higher insurance. Our 1.2 costs to insure £250 the 4x4 is nealry £400. The TA is much faster, but a well sorted 1.2 is a very nice thing to drive. My Mrs does not like the two cylinder engine and wont drive it unless she has to. It takes a while to get used to the TA engine and without some mechanical undertsanding, a long while I think. I agree re parking sensors as its hard to get close to things with confidence without them.

Insurance shouldn’t necessarily be hugely different for the Panda 4x4 - mine (just renewed) was £189 fully comp + protected NCD +legal protection etc. But why don’t you call your insurer and ask?
Likewise the rear parking sensors - I don’t have them but it’s a small car and easy to place, and if you like the car and it’s a good price then get a retrofit - simples! 😊

thanks again everyone! Wasn't expecting replies on a Saturday evening! We're definitely after the TA. It'll be used for short journeys and an occasional journey into London. Where we live suits a Cross better otherwise the CityCross would have been an option. We're planning on moving further into the sticks soon too so a useful agile 4x4 will be ideal. This has all been very helpful!

Parking sensors? Get a towbar kit, better value for money since it serves two purposes then ;)
