Hello,
could anyone help me to identify in which car this IHI Turbo is used?

Turbo.Spec. VJ330307
Serial No RHF5 31 007W
PartsNo WL85

already searched internet, but could not find any information about.
I like to use this Turbo as an replacement for my Novitec/Schwitzer S1 Turbo.
So i like to know what are the specifications for this charger.

thx
Sigi

The IHI site is a real mess however you can extract the RHF5 line push enough air through to deliver 75 to >210bhp depending on the exact model so I'd think on a 1108 or 1242cc they'd be a fairly laggy but with a fair amount of potential. I'd look at an IHI RHF3 if you're not looking for big power or a RHF4 if you're looking for serious power.

Why not go for at custom camshaft instead of a bigger turbo?

Big isn't always better..

I'm using a IHI t15 (RHB4) turbo in my setup and kicking 134 bhp easy.
Boost is set for 0.8 bar and the IHI t15 turbo is capeable of doing 1 bar in full throttle.

I had a C&B camshaft custom made for the turbo'd engine - works great (y)

Because my Novitec/Schwitzer Turbo is dead.
btw. i am doing a 1242 Engine upgrade and buying a new Schwitzer is to expensive, repairing the old one makes no sense, better invest the money in the IHI which is already rebuild.

I understand, but I wouldn't go for a bigger size'd turbo.

IHI RHB4 can be bought of Ebay for @ £200 brand new.

My engine is already the 1242cc and the t15 turbo have no problem with supplying boost at all.

The only way to get really high power (without going way higt on boost) is to get a camshaft made for the purpose.

@Tricker
I have seen you used 16 V Pistions, do you have a Fiat number for me?
I would like to check the prices.

If you're out to buy new pistons I recomend that you look @ for aftermarket one's instead, cause the Fiat pistons aren't that good quallity.
People say that Mahle pistons are much better quallity at almost the same price as Fiat one's.

Or you could do like me and go to a scrabby to find a low mileage 16v engine and fit the 16v pistons into the 8v engine (y)

Last one will def. be the cheapest sollution.

Isn't it better to place a 8v head on a 16v bottom, in this way to have a stonger rods (16v should be stronger than 8v) (also I heard, but I'm not sure, that 16v rods are lighter than 8v) and low compression with 8v head... ?

Sorry for bad english.
