I´m in Brazil and although I love my Idea 1.6 2010/2011 (with only about 20000 KM)I´ve been having one specific problem with it:the car simply dies while running. Really dangerous situation. I´ve noticed it usually happens when I´m in second gear and it may happen more than once a day and sometimes I can spend days or weeks without the problem. It dies but I turn it back on again without any problem. When it happens, if the radio was on, when the car dies, the radio keeps playing. If the headlights are on they stay lit also. I´ve taken the car to two experienced mechanics and they can`t tell what it is. They told me I would have to contact them when it happens, then they will come to me and use some tool to scan the car´s electric part, and try to identify where the problem is. My hope is that someone in this forum is familiar with this kind o problem and can help me out.
