Right I have 2008 1.9 fiat grande punto sporting I have a mostly intermittent starting issue no codes. I turn the key to start the engine and it will turn over but not start occasionally firing sometimes it stops turning over and then it'll show radiator fluid temperature to high but even when cold starting have replaced the temperature sensor on the thermostat. It's so annoying and embarrassing when in a car park sitting there trying to start engine anyone have any idea please?

What about obvious basics, like OBD2 (FES, MES) and checking the sensor readings (if the ECU can see the temperature)?

Nah I changed gearbox and earth was good it's got 2 earth's. Next please lol
