Right I have 2008 1.9 fiat grande punto sporting I have a mostly intermittent starting issue no codes. I turn the key to start the engine and it will turn over but not start occasionally firing sometimes it stops turning over and then it'll show radiator fluid temperature to high but even when cold starting have replaced the temperature sensor on the thermostat. It's so annoying and embarrassing when in a car park sitting there trying to start engine anyone have any idea please?

It's impossible for anyone to determine the issue from your vague description. Rather than hope someone will give you a silver bullet, go through the problem methodically. Cars run on a mixture of fuel and air ignited by a spark. First check whether the immobiliser light (padlock symbol) disappears when the key is moved to ignition 1. If it stays on then the immobiliser is still enabled. Check the condition and gaps of the spark plugs and test each one for a spark. Check for fuel by spraying a little Easy Start into the throttle body. If it starts check fuel pressure to determine if fuel is being supplied by the fuel pump (you should hear the pump priming when the key is moved to ignition 1).
