Technical i need a pre coded id48 transponder

Hi,

.... lost my spare key and dont want to buy a expensive original spare one from fiat.

My Ducato is from 2003 and has a Code 2 (megamos id48) transponder.

As far as i got it, one way to get a new working transponder is to get one precoded with some special code (from fiat or precoded with tools like zedfull) and then program the car to accept this new key (Original fiat tools or multiecuscan or AlfaOBD).

Programming the Car to Accept the key would not be the problem ...


Anyone knows a source / locksmith to get such a precoded key?

You should check if your insurance covers lost keys.. the only way to precode the transponder is by reading the EEPROM data in the immobiliser unit. There are a couple of businesses that you can post your immobiliser to and they will send you back the immobiliser with transponders ready to start your vehicle:
