Hi everyone, I'm new here so I will introduce myself shortly:
My name is Joost, live in the Netherlands, am nearly 20 years old and am a proud owner of a yellow Sei Abarth built in 2000. I have done multiple modifications like Viper striping, Lexus-look taillights, Exhaust muffler, Xenon-loon headlights and nice rims.

Now I've been able to purchase a nice formula 1-looking spoiler which I'm willing to fit on the sei, but first I have to remove the 'standard' sei abarth spoiler. My question is, is there's anyone around able to tell me if the standard spoiler is bolted or just kitted, and perhaps any tips&tricks for removing the standard spoiler?

Thanks in advance,
Joost

Thx guys but already tried both... it's stuck as can be. I also tried getting it off using fishing wire, broke like 20 pieces of it on the spoiler without advancing a millimeter... anyone more tips?

there's a trick to this

first boil water and pour it over to make it soft then get some fine fishing wire and pull it through under where its stuck and it should seperate it, its a pain and it will take a while but it does work i did it on a scooby

I don't recommend anyone to do this in the future: I got the spoiler off, wasn't even too hard actually, just used a lot of force and it came off good. And that's actually where it all started: the Tiger seal used to fix the spoiler was fixed with a black layer of ? something, to make it attach stronger to the paint. This black layer actually looks like paint so now it looks like i have a spoiler painted on my sei's butt.

Anyway, am now busy scratching (!!) it all off and polishing+waxing it. Hell of a job, be warned!

Do you fancy importing out and shipping a tailgate from Holland ;)

Sounds to me like the spoiler has been fitted on at a later date or has been refitted on at some point and theyve used an extra sealant to help it stay on
