Hello again!
Sadly i am experiencing another trouble with my barchetta, it is a pain in the assshh because this week i had planned to take it to the experts to do distribution lead, waterpump and variator change...
And now i have water on my feets, it must be as i read caused by the heater, probably the radiator, so i have been looking on how to do it by myself as i dont trust on "experts" for that not just for the 300-500€ they will charge me to do the job if not because they dont have care at dismantling it at least not many as i do being my car.
As far as i saw it is not too hard to do, it needs lots of time and patience two thing i have, but there is the problem on how to remove the passengers airbag module, it is not described on the manual and on the only place it may be explained is on the german guide that i found in another thread that obviously i dont undestand anything, there are bolts on the front behind the airbag cover and at the lower side, but the question is how to remove that cover??

Any replies would be welcome, Thanks.
And sorry about my basic english.

disconect battery first!

removing whole dash is really pain, you will have to remove completely center console, radio, release handbrake, remove steering wheel and also levers for turning light... a lot of different bolts, and rivets...

hm... i have glove box instead of airbag... i'm not sure how airbag is attached, maybe behind dash are some bolts that will release airbag to go out. but first remove plastic cover trim under dash (2 bolts when you remove rubber sealing, and 2-3 snap bolts on top, some flat screwdriver will release them, and 2-3 X bolts under)... maybe under that are some bolts that hold air bag, or behind whole dash... you will also found some relays there... i can't help more... hm...

it's quite tight there, probably will need to remove chair for better access... try to photo with cam what's behind it could help to find bolts or some catches...

Robot also did that when aircon was leaking... not sure if he had airbag. i'm also interested in that.

but anyway, disconnect the battery before you do that

Thanks to all of you for your help,
After the creation of this thread i check again for the manual and found those pages, but i dont know if it is caused by my bad english or because i am a little dork i dont finally understand how to remove the cover to get on those screws, do i have to pull to me the cover from below? is that? i dont want to worn anything
I know it is going to be hard work, i am going to wait one more month till Henk from Bparts ends his holidays and request for the spares, i need another things too, one is the hood lever, it is broken since i bought it and the cable is sticked on the piece of lever with help of that adhesive strong as a rock i dont know how it is called, the thing is that i must to pull from the cable with the help of the lever to open the hood and now that i have made some regulation on the hood spring to make it easier to open it could take me more than 10-15 minutes to finnally get it .
There is any advise on how to fix the new lever? i fear that it is so tight the cable that it would broke the new one again.

Thanks again! it is a shame that i am far from you B owners it would be nice to share and learn from other experience.
I must to admit that i am having some minor problems with my car that i did not had with the previous one, but i am happy anyway because i am learning a bit of all.
I had the airbag pretentioners problem and i solved it with removing the conector from cable and using a vagcable etc...
I made the passengers window to work again since it was out of order when bought it and so on.
I have a strange "problem" now and is related to ABS/Handbrake lights, as the heater problem it start to happen entering on autumn, on manual says it is an EBD problem whatever that is, but the symptoms are not the same, mine are not always on, the sequence is like this, turn the key to first possition, al lights on, and after few seconds most of them included abs turns off, so far so good, when i give the second turn and start the engine handbrake and abs turns on again but they go off after 3 seconds or so... i have not tested hard braking but i think they work ok, at least handbrake does not block wheels at low speed test.
Could this be low battery? i say this because it is only on the start of the engine when lights fade, maybe too low power and abs stops working somehow for a second, another symptoms of low battery could be that engine does turn a little slow when i come back from work, i think windows move slower when car is not running and also strange is that when i drive a little for example 10 minutes and enter on the garage, stop the engine and start it again, and no abs/Hbrake light or it fades on less time, not even half a second sometimes, like if with the ride battery charges some more and now the effect isnt as notorious as before, what do you think?

Best Regards
