Just wondering what the advantages of having a high top doblo over a normal one?
A lot of doblo taxis have them in my area.
Also, do they fit under barriers at picnic sites etc?

Probably because you can get wheelchaired people in the back when you have an adaption.

I've got one and yes its a wheelchair conversion, although I have seen non high top wheel chair doblos as well. Advantages are being able to look straight up at the sky whilst driving along! The disadvantages are parking, a lot of car parks have a limit of 2.0 meters, whilst the doblo is a few cm over that.

If I were you I'd be writing to the owners of the car park claiming discrimination.
If it's the way the car park was built then there's little they'l be able to do but if it's just a fixed barrier on entry/exit they will have to raise it slightly to accommodate you.
And I'd be writing that letter wether or not I was carrying wheelchair passengers.

Ah don't worry sludgeguts, its only a few car parks I can't use, mostly multistories and it is my choice of car.

I get this problem when the roof box is on as it takes the height up to 2.3 metres.

In France they seem to use height restrictions to stop camper vans using public car parks near beaches as free camp sites.
