Hi all

just done the clutch in my misses 2000 punto 1.2 8v.

when putting the passenger driveshaft back in, it wouldn't engage then tryiing to remove it, it is now stuck.

It's stuck about half way in and has about 10mm play in it but won't come out or go in

Any help well apreciated

is there any guides on this??

So if I remove the diff then the cup should just come out?

What do you mean wet or dry shaft?

Someone else has said it may be the clip on the end of the driveshaft? is this possible?

Wet or dry: some gearboxes have the spider (which makes up the inner CV joint) as part of the diff assembly -- wet because the inner boot forms the gearbox oil seal. Others have the inner CV joint outboard from the diff -- in these the boot is filled with grease like an outer CV joint.

There is a circlip which helps retain the spline on the dry ones. I'd guess that if that gets totally deranged it may prevent the shaft fitting.

In that case I would say wet as that is what seals the oil. But I do have a small circlip right on the end of driveshaft?

Could this be the problem, how do I sort it?

The thing I cant understand is its litterally stuck in half way, and you can pull it back and forth but it wont go in anymore nor will it come out
