Don't know what to do. buy it for parts or try to restore it to "Erm" some sort of original condition with money I just don't have anymore! According to google there was only 14 ever built and probably as little as 6 remain. This one is in a bit of a state unfortunately but its all there. I know its ugly but it has something that draws me to it. Parts1

It's a kit that was built on a MK1 Panda 4x4 chassis and running gear. along with lights. They also had bits of Ford and rover in them. The windscreens out of a ford fiesta and so is the seats. There is supposed to be metro bits in there to somewere.
This particular car we don't know anything about apart from its been sitting for years, you guys can tell me what year it is a I've no idea about dating maniland reg's. The body seems to be in very good condition and is made of aluminium according to the owners site. I thought it was fibre but there you go. The doors are still hanging perfect and closing spot on.
The bit of the chassis I poked at was nearly like a sponge but without having a good look I can't tell just how bad it is. The prop shaft is missing.

I'd love to save it because I love odball things (and its panda based) but although I now have room to store it, I don't have the money left to buy it, which is typical really, old saying comes to mind, "there's a bell daddy, put a bike on it", and because I bought a Fiat 126 and my MK1 panda bumpers yesterday.

RESTORE RESTORE RESTORE!!! That car might not be original but its awesome!! My goodness if I had somewhere to put it and didn't already have 3 ~ pandas and a full driveway  I'd have a go at it! Think Paris Dakar rally and go from there I reckon (y)

and as has been suggested, would be easy enough to put a panda interior in if you wanted.

keep us posted stu, and good luck. Not a decision I would like to make, I know how tempting it is to see it as a parts bin! Qing Qing almost went that way!

It's an NCF Torino based on Mk1 Panda running gear. Looks like it was a 1986 one from the registration number.

The Torino kit was produced somewhere around the mid to late 90's and was based on the NCF Road Rat chassis. As far as I know the panels are galvanised steel, not aluminium.

As for saving it, I agree. How much is the current owner asking for it? Can't be worth more than scrap money in that condition and it's only going to appeal to a very limited number of people. If that was UK mainland I'd certainly be interested but the costs and logistics of getting it here would make it too expensive.

Oh, and hello everyone, it's been a while.

I'm amazed that red one wne tfor so much. I was considering it as a parts car but thought better of it.
