Have 2016 500C. high level brake light not working - all other rear things work (brake lights, heated window, number plate etc). Spotted these two wires when roof down, close to the rear nearside pillar. I'm guessing these are the culprits ...but I don't know from where they have become disconnected. Can anyone help me with a DIY repair solution??
Thanks in advance.
Graham.

Hi, thank you for taking the time to reply and for the video. I had seen this previously and agree, it's not too much help! I need to know how i get to the mechanism and wiring so that I can re-connect these two loose wires. If anyone can enlighten me before I ruin the interior trying to get to it ...that would be great! 500c UK 2016 model. Thanks again. Graham.

I would feel here, yellow, the wire can't be too far away, a guess is it runs in the covering?
Thanks for your suggestion; but no, that's not where the wires go. The wire loom is attached to the roof mechanism, so as the roof rises from it's fully down position, the wires that you can see in the picture, actually travel and rotate towards a downward trajectory, but the view and access is then completely obscured by the roof lining even with the roof only partially closed. It's a real conundrum! I think I have to remove the interior lining to gain access and view.... Just not overly confident, I'll be able to replace it if I do! 😬

Thinking if it's snapped it can't be far away? Insulate the wire ends in the mean time?
