Please help me.

I recently bought a Grande Punto 2007 and the blue and me doesn't work. None of the buttons related to the B&M system work, I can't access the settings menu or anything. When I try to connect my phone its say 'rejected' and the car seems to do nothing. I've tried to play music via a USB stick and it does nothing.
I downloaded update 5.5 and 5.6 from the Blue and Me website and both versions do exactly the same. Say 'updating'....then 'restarting'....then 'installing' and then it comes up 'USB ERROR:10'. So I thought i'd try to install 6.0 but then I got the error message 'CONFIG. ERROR'. I've been using an 8GB memory stick formatted to FAT 32. I've read about needing a proxy alignment but I don't want to do that till I've tried everything else. I did disconnect the battery for 30 minutes and that never worked either.

Any help or suggestion would be appreciated...it's driving me crazy.

Thanks in advance :)

B&M 6.0 won't work as the B&M unit in your car will be the first gen unit. You'll have to use v5.6

The error you're getting points to a USB stick problem. Whilst B&M can read USB devices upto 32gb without problems, they're not always happy installing updates from a USB this large. Try another one that's no bigger than 2Gb and see how you get on.

Thanks. I tried the 5.6 update. I think it's because my stereo isn't the original one. And that its the wrong model that isn't compatible with the Blue and me.

I have a similar problem i have a Punto Evo 16V sporting 2010, and i used a 1GB memory stick. Downloaded the file then uploaded it and then tried to install the 5.6 update on the car and i got the "USB error 10" message, can anyone help!!

I had this with my daughters 2008 500 sporting yesterday... I successfully managed to install 5.5 by using a 1gb memory stick... then ran the whole thing over again (ran the config file again.. uploaded it again and downloaded the 5.6 version) .. if we tried to go straight to 5.6 which the site recommended then we got the Error 10 message. In short... install 5.5 from a small memory stick first.. then 5.6 afterwards.. worked for us on an early UK model. Hope that helps
