Im going to be eating my words here as per previous posts.

My saga has finally been sorted. A lovely lady from Fiat called. My lounge is now sorted and being built the 26th Jan to start production on it so il have that for March time.

The bad news! My sport has a build date of the 26th Jan . Its not even bloody started to be built. So how come it was coming on the 21st next monday according to my dealer?

Fiat has now informed me that they have had a lot of problems sourcing the leather for the cars. Mine has the added red leather option. They have now sourced the materials.

So if anyone has added the red leather or a sport i would warn people that there cars arent being built or at least not till after the 26th Jan.

MY DEALER IS BENFIELD FIAT IN NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE. I didnt want to bemoan them, but the service i have had is so poor i dont care anymore.

big difference between wouldnt be here and not even built.

my sport was the very first order the dealer recieved!

Ive been talking to them since June about the car.

ive really got past the point of caring. im just giving a heads up on people who may of added red leather.

dont get down about it, it will ruin the whole experience for you.. just accept that Fiat always tell porkies and youll be a happier person for it:)
I am amazed theyve got anyone left in Poland to actually build them, maybe the locals are having problems catching the cows for the seats:)

Nice choice with the red leather - nice and retro with the white exterior in particular. Worth the wait.(y)

For what it's worth I heard a rumour that the leather for the 500 is supplied by a local Scottish supplier to me in Bridge of Weir. No surprise really since they do the leather for many of the top quality marques.
