Hi there,

I have a slight issue with the handbrake warning light staying on after the lever is released by pressing the button on the end - though the handbrake itself is working as it should. It just means I sometimes have to manually move the lever to the down (off) position to get the light to go out. Possibly due to a partially worn, tired spring (which corresponds to number 14 on the attached diagram taken from ePER), or the handbrake switch sticking.

Any advice or feedback welcomed.

Cheers,
Andy

A bit more info...on closer examination the warning light sometimes remains on when lifting the handbrake lever, which stays in this position, without pressing the button on the end. Not sure if this indicates the internal spring or switch is at fault? Alternatively, does the ratchet mechanism need regreasing?
