I'm having a problem trying to install a remote central locking kit so I can lock and unlock the car with a button. I never received the original remote key, so I bought an aftermarket lock/unlock kit from Temu that also has a trunk release output and other functions.
I've been trying for days to find the lock and unlock signal wires. Eventually, I removed the driver's door panel and connected ground directly through a 12V test light to a wire, and that successfully locks the car. However, I can't find any wire that will unlock it.
AI keeps telling me that on the Grande Punto there is a single wire that changes polarity (something along those lines), and now I'm struggling to figure out how to connect it. The AI suggested that I could connect two outputs to that one wire through two different resistors (one higher value and one lower value) and that it should work.
If anyone has installed a remote locking kit on a Grande Punto before, any help, ideas, or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Check the original central locking/boot opening functions. Maybe it will help somehow.

Modification may require adding a relay and/or diode somewhere (to separate the signals if you are connecting between the modules, you are between the IN and OUT somewhere, you can't just ground things or put +12 wherever you want, not always).

I don't know, you didn't provide ANY details (which Grande - year before 10/2008 or after, what "Temu" kit/device you've bought)...
