General Gas conversion

I have just joined the forum because I was so impressed by members's advice and support. I have also been impressed by the capabilities of the Panda 4x4 and am currently on the search for one.
Many of you seem to be complete nutters even more so than the members on the Maestro and Montego owners site, of which I am also a member!!
They are also very helpful and informative.

Many people just scoff at Pandas and Maestro but both offer cheap and cheerful motoring and are, I believe, very under valued motors.

My question, which might seem a tad strange is, has anyone fitted a gas conversion onto a Panda?

tbh i doubt you would recoup the conversion costs on average panda mileage

I think only the later injection's can be converted and your looking at anything between £1500-2500. Wouldn't have said its worth it. Plus you might not get a garage willing to work on a car as old as the average Panda (10yrs plus).

Interesting thought, however Pandas will do 40+MPG (I can get between 25 and just over 60 depending on driving) with ease and the boot is rather small for the gas tank.

If you've got money to burn and fancy doing something different, though, I wish you the best of luck. A late Panda with single point fuel injection may work, trouble is I'm yet to hear of an LPG-converted FIRE engine so compatability is unknown.
