Hi guys been scratching my head all day, basically front wipers won’t work most of the time, kind of an intermittent fault that’s gotten worse. Motor and linkages all good, the problem is I’m not getting power to the plug. I’m confident the switch works as I can hear the relay clicking on and off. Ive checked everywhere for broken wires and all that’s left is the BCM. Has anyone changed one before I believe they need programming? Its frustrating because I’m confident the BCM is at fault but its not a simple as just swapping it for a new one?

Consider changing the motor unit - they are not infallible and cheaper/less hassle than a BCM. Or at least ruling it out by plugging in a cheapy from a scrapper.

If you do change the wiper motor, watch out for the clips at the back of the plastic scuttle panel - try your best to make sure they engage behind the steel surround rather than in between the glass and the steel (not easy) - can crack the screen otherwise (been there, got the Autoglass T-shirt...) 🤦‍♂️

Yeh already changed the motor because when I tested it I had power there at the plug. But now no power there. The earth wire at the plug is working as an earth but the wire that should deliver the current is also earthed instead of power. Then intermittently it starts working again, with power and earth in the correct pins, seems like a BCM issue to me.

Might help

Could it be the relay. It may be "clicking" but that does not mean it is making a good contact. Hope it is something easier than the BCM
