Morning all

Went to get my tyres done on my 2012 Easy and got told one of the bolts was cross threaded. I'm looking to replace the wheel hub but wondering if this is something I can replace on its own or if i have to replace the bearing as well? If so, is it a press-in style bearing?

Thanks in advance!

Press in i believe. Before you go to that extreme would it not be worth trying to run a tap down it and replacing the wheel bolt with a new one if required?

Was thinking that, but wanted to have one on hand in case the bolt snaps, and general advice I've gotten is that re-tapping doesn't always work that well.

I suspect the bolt is rusted rather than cross threaded but would like to be prepped for the worst case scenario first 🤣

Oh right, it’s stuck in. Yes 100% with you then! 😬 Keep us updated. You don’t think the tyre place have accidentally overnighted it by having the gun set the wrong way and not realizing it? Wouldn’t be the first time knowing some tyre outlets!

Entirely possible but as it's costco and i was getting some good tyres relatively cheap (and also they can't fix it themselves) I'm inclined to give them a bit of leeway!
