Technical Front Suspension Top Mounts ?

Hi all, on my 50th Anniversario (don’t know if its any diff to any Abarth up to 2015) It looks as if my top suspension mounts are NOT seating correctly see 2 photo’s.
Can anyone advise if they look wrong please. Should there be a gap?
Many thanks Barry

They don't look right. Your suspension looks compromised until you get this fixed. If you want me to guess, the wrong springs have been installed.

Or shocks.

The springs are too short or the shocks too long.

Perhaps someone bought and installed normal 500 shocks, as the Abarth ones were probably much more expensive. No idea if there are shorter springs than for the Abarth.

Check the downloads section. I've uploaded the FIAT documentation on modifications applied in different Abarth 500 versions. Can't remember though if there was anything about the 50th Anniversario model. I remember that only the Essesse doc was missing.

Just called into an Abarth agent in Bedford they said it is normal to have a gap whilst the car is on level ground & not lifted with the weight off the road wheels as my photo I also went onto a website (see photo) where it shows the same gap on some strut top covers, I sent an email to them , they replied saying “mine are normal they always look like that” if you look at the pic they look the same. Strange design ! 🤔Thanks for all the imput

Well would you believe it .....

Just checked my recently bought 2022 595 Turismo and it's the same , if I didn't know about this post and saw them for the first time I would have thought something was amiss

Hi Zaphod, Totally agree with you, I don’t understand the reason behind the gap, it would be interesting when you jack the car up & see if the struts fall into place.too cold outside to play about today🥶 If anyone out there has their car jacked up please let us know🤔
