Technical Front left indicator bulb

Hello

Today while driving the quick sounding indicator noise came on for a few seconds, then went back to normal. This happened on and off for the whole drive whilst indicating left. I got home and changed bulb quickly to make sure it wasnt that, and it still doesn't work. The inside of the holder is clean and seems to be a good connection to the bulb, but I was wondering if anyone has any idea of what this could be?

Incase anyone has this issue in future, I don't know why but I swapped the left and right indicator bulbs round and they're both working and have been for a week with no issues, genuinely don't know how this fixed it.

Bulbs.. Or bulb holders?

Maybe the OLD one wasn't "blown" either..
